Roofing projects in Garfield are handled through the city’s Construction/Building Department and may require permits and inspections under New Jersey’s Uniform Construction Code, depending on the scope of work. The City of Garfield Building Department provides construction permit applications and inspection information.

At Seci Construction, Inc., we take care of the permitting process for your roof replacement and coordinate the required steps with the city.

Warranty options vary according to both the roofing system and property type:

• Qualifying Owens Corning systems installed through our Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor status may include up to 50 years of shingle coverage and 25 years of workmanship coverage.
• As a GAF Master Elite® Contractor, we can offer eligible homeowners GAF Golden Pledge® coverage, including a 50-year non-prorated manufacturing-defect period and 25 or 30 years of workmanship coverage, depending on the shingles installed.
• Our CertainTeed PREMIER ShingleMaster™ Contractor status provides access to SureStart™ PLUS 4-STAR and 5-STAR protection for qualifying systems.

For pitched roofs, Seci Construction, Inc. installs roof shingles from GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed. We also install tile and slate roofs, flat roofs, and metal roofs.

GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed are popular choices for pitched roofs because they offer durable materials, weather-resistant features, varied colors, and enhanced warranty opportunities. GAF Timberline® HDZ™ and Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration® architectural roof shingles provide practical performance with dimensional style, while GAF Slateline® and Camelot® II designer roof shingles provide additional visual depth for properties where curb appeal is a priority.

A typical pitched shingle roof may be replaced within one to two days. Closely spaced buildings, limited staging areas, multiple dwelling units, low-slope sections, difficult material access, damaged decking, or drainage repairs can add time to a Garfield roofing project.

Start with independent sources rather than relying only on a contractor’s website. Review customer ratings, BBB information, New Jersey contractor registration, manufacturer credentials, years in business, and experience completing roofing projects in the area.
